Death of the Server (Dec 20th)

On December 20th, the server will be going offline forever. I've decided that since not many people are playing this anymore that I'm going to shut it down. Then I'm going to reformat the server computer and give it to my parents for a Christmas gift. The computer they have right now is super slow.

If anyone would like to save their chars and possibly play them later on their own, message me and I can send you a copy over MSN or something and send you the server files.

Well, I do agree the server as been empty as of late...I think its a nice jesture to update the parents...I would store everything on mine but mine is a school project...And , plus my ip changes everytime sbc decides theres too much target in the pool. Its very annoying. Anyways, your still goin to play videos games with us right? your friend Brian.

Well the server is down as of now. My parents brought their computer to do some updates and as that was happenning their hard drive blew. I was able to backup some of their data but as of now they don't have a computer. The computer is 8 years old so there is no point in buying a new hard drive for it.

So the server computer is going as an early Christmas present to them now.

I've saved all the data and the server files. If anyone wants them, then tell me.

Well, at least they have a techie for a son...lol. hopefully, most of the info lost is easliy obtained again...And, now they will have a great christmas. As for the server data go ahead and send it to me. I can host the server... I just dont know if everyone wants to keep changing the host info everytime SBC decides they don't like the flood packeting...Even so, will have the info and anyone can join including Pat...Matter of fact you can run it remotely if you like. But that means you'll have to update to the latest patch for it to work on mine or walk me through it.I'm running version 2599 Datapacket 5396. If, everyone is in for holding all info and playing from mine I can post my IP here when it changes...We can make a topic just for IP changes.

Oh well it did get quiet, its a shame but i dont blame you if anymone brings it up let me know ;0

My daughter likes going on, where can i download the l2 server files from and if you could give me the the old server files that would be great...
